Quick tipSuits never break a tie — only card ranks do. When two players share the same hand category, the highest cards (including the kicker) decide the winner.

An easy way to memorize the order

From the top down, the pattern follows how hard each hand is to make: all-same-suit-and-sequence (royal/straight flush), then matching ranks (quads, full house), then "all one suit" (flush), then "all in a row" (straight), then progressively smaller groups of matching ranks (trips, two pair, pair) and finally nothing (high card).
